General Information:
Honors Biology II/AP Biology is a two semester course that compares to a freshmen level college Biology course. Students taking this course will be required to take the Advanced Placement exam in May in order to receive the AP credit on their transcript. Students receiving a score of 3, 4 or 5 on the AP Exam will receive college credits in some cases up to 8 hours credit. The amount of credit given depends on the institution that the student is attending. This is a fast moving course and it will be important that the students stay on top of their reading and studying.
Materials needed:
3-ring binder, loose leaf paper, calculator, graph paper, blue or black pen, pencils. I would suggest that the student purchase some type of AP Biology review book. There are many types available. The most popular are Princeton review, and Cliffs, however any type is fine. They are extremely helpful when preparing for the exam.
Tutoring:
Tutoring will be available both before and after school. If you are struggling with a concept, please come and ask, do not wait until the day before the test because it will be too late.
